Academy Calendar
There are 46 lessons in a year. The Academy is closed the following weeks: Thanksgiving, Winter Break, Spring Break, the first two days of Presidents' Week, and Summer Break (8 days total), which begins Wednesday before the 4th of July through the Friday after the 4th of July.

Labor Day and Memorial Day lessons will be rescheduled or credited as needed.
Tuition Policy
Tuition is a flat monthly rate due on the 1st of the month preceding the start of lessons. Payment is paid monthly in advance for all lessons. Rates vary according to the teacher's assignment as a junior, master or teacher trainer. Late payments received after the 1st of the month will be subject to a $10 charge. Auto bill pay or bank draft is preferred, credit is acceptable. A two week written notice by text and email is required when withdrawing from the Academy.
Attendance Policy
There are no makeups for any reason. Teachers have individual discretion but are protected by this no makeup policy. Should the teacher cancel, they will schedule a makeup. When a makeup cannot be accommodated, a credit will be issued. There are no refunds. To withdraw, families provide a 2 week written notice by text and email.
Missed Lessons and Make-Up Policies
There are no make-ups for missed lessons. There are no refunds for missed lessons. Make-up lessons are not guaranteed.

Lesson Conflict Solutions
Swapping: Families are permitted to switch lesson times with each other. Teachers are not responsible to arrange swaps. Families can ask for emails to swap with other families.
Teacher Offer: Teachers may offer make-up lessons, but are not required to do so. When another student is absent, a teacher may offer to use that time to the benefit of another available student.
Semesterly Masterclasses
Families that have missed lessons, may attend a free masterclass. These are fun-filled ear training and music theory opportunities for students.
Withdrawal Policy
Should you choose to withdraw for any reason, we require that you indicate in writing two weeks in advance. If you wish to re-enroll at a later time, registration will be required again. Lesson times cannot be guaranteed with the same teacher upon re-enrollment.
